I Don’t Know

“I don’t know what my future holds, but I do know who holds my future.” – Tim Tebow

This quote is a great reminder for me every time things don’t happen according to my plan. By default, I whine or complain when things turn bad because that’s easy. Everyone gets hurt and feels offended when life’s turn of events go south, it’s okay to feel those emotions because they are real but we should not stay there for a very long time. All should learn and accept the fact that the earth is round, anything can happen in an instant without a warning: whether it’s good or bad. Today we are up and down there the next day. Who knows, right?

Well, no one really knows what will happen in the future. Remembering what we do today can shape our future. Whatever happens, our God is sovereign and His greater purpose will always prevail in our lives. It doesn’t matter if we know, what matters is He knows. As long as we know the ONE who holds our future then we can channel all our energy into trusting rather than worrying. After all, they say 85% of what we worry about doesn’t happen and the scripture declares…

Proverbs 27:1
Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.

Question: Are you already tired of figuring out what your future holds? Maybe it’s about time to surrender the unknown in the hands of an ALL-knowing God.
