I remember a conversation with my friend and colleague before, every time he makes his working area so tidy, clean and well organized, no one will even bother to check his area. But one day he decided not to clean at all, and that’s the time the boss came to check his place. So ironic isn’t?
Sometimes we expect someone to notice us for our good works. We wait for appreciation from others, because we know we did something great that day. But the question is, are we doing it in a consistent manner? Are we doing those things just to impress one person and then get the credit from that situation?
The key here is consistency. Whether the boss is coming or not, let’s do our best consistently. So that if anyone who comes and checks your work they will see the same good result again and again. Eventually, that’s the time you will get the credit, simply because you already gained credibility.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
